1939 Chevy Business Coupe
This car started off as an original 1939 Chevy all steel car with only 78,000 original miles and had been garage kept all its life. We only found one piece of rust in the entire car and it was about 1” wide by 4” long where the rear fender bolted to the body. This body was a true rare find! Body Modifications • Rear fenders were welded to the body and metal shaped to give it a factory look • Shaved front fender vents and bumper bracket slots • Metal worked inner fender wells • Cut the hood sides off and rebuilt them so they bolt on but left the gullwing hood on top • Custom firewall • Shaved windshield wipers • Shaved cowl vent • Shaved drip rails • Mini-tubbed rear inner fenders • Frenched rear tag in trunk • Shaved rear bumper bracket slots • Smooth running boards • Bottom of the body was all done in spray-on bed liner for sound dampening and protection • Front and rear fender wells also done in bed liner • Custom chrome body trim • LED headlights and taillights • Factory grille was completely restored and re-chromed • DuPont paint Interior • Gabe’s Custom Interiors in San Bernardino did all the leather work inside the car and trunk o Gabe also built a custom rear seat since this car is a business coupe and didn’t originally have a rear seat • Custom chrome accents throughout leather work • Shaved dash • Metal shaped dash around gauges so the dash has a more 3D look • Vintage Air • Frenched in A/C vents in dash to give them a molded look • Lokar pedals and floor shifter • Dakota Digital instrument cluster Chassis • Powder coated factory 39 Chevy frame rails narrowed in the rear to allow for a wider rear tire • Heidts Mustang II front-end with tubular upper and lower control arms • Power rack and pinion steering • Narrowed and painted Ford 9” with 3.73 gears • Triangulated four–link with air ride all powdered coated gloss black • Wilwood polished disc brakes all the way around • custom fuel tank • Full mandrel bent exhaust all tig welded and powder coated matte black Engine • LS1/4L60E all painted candy red • Billet Specialties Tru–Trac pulley system • Hooker headers • Griffin radiator • Greening Auto smooth billet valve covers Wheels/Tires • Budnik 18×8 and 20.9.5 M5 wheels • BFGoodrich 225/40ZR18 front and BFGoodrich 295/40ZR20 This car was just painted within the last 8 months and has less than 400 miles on it.
