1929 Ford Model A Tudor Sedan

Built by: Binbrook Speed & Custom, 2015 to 2017. Chassis fab, all metal work (except chop) & assembly performed professionally by Binbrook Speed & Custom. Paint/interior/roof/other finishing completed by owner.

*All available receipts & build log provided. With ownership, plated & registered in Ontario.

Body:

5” chopped, 4” channel

Smoothed & filled firewall with molded in distributor relief.

Replacement full roof wood kit (Snyder’s).

Roof opening filled with relived MDF wrapped in black vinyl (interior side) topped with synthetic batting.

Roof covered in black Sunbrella marine fabric.

Reproduction 1928-1929 visor.

Reproduction 1932 Ford grill shell & insert (Vintiques), Chopped 3”

So-Cal headlights (part# 00162003), custom integrated Ford F1 headlight/shock mounts.

1956 VW Beetle “snow flake” tail lights, custom molded to body.

Model A spare tire mount rear license plate/tag light mount

Typical replacement panels/metal work (lower doors), filled cowl vent.

Cowl steering, ’48-52 Ford F1 box

Marine deck plate fuel fill/cap.

*No side glass

Paint:

“Chestnut” lacquer over black epoxy. Minimal body work w/ filler (lower doors, lower cowl, mid-lower rear quarters). Driver paint job, nothing fancy. Never got around to wetsanding.

Interior:

1952/53 Ford car dash sectioned to fit with matching front and rear door/garnish moldings. Working glovebox door.

Functional Ford speedometer with matched cable drive gearing, auxiliary gauges (Autometer “Old Tyme”, black) for Fuel, Coolant Temp, & Oil pressure on auxiliary panel.

1949 Oldsmobile steering wheel mated to early 60’s GM truck column

Basic split bench style seating, 4” foam, black heat pleated vinyl with matching door panels.

Bead rolled floor and parcel shelf panels. Rear parcel shelf removable to access rear underbody components (fuel filter, pump, etc.).

Rearview mirror, window and door hardware reproduction Model A (Vintiques).

Chassis:

Front 1930-1931 Model A horns to firewall, 2”x4” tubing to rear.

Fabricated flat front Model A style cross member

Suspension/brakes/axles:

Original Ford model A front straight axle, dropped 3” (Kohler Customs)

Square back spindles & early ford ’40-48 backing plates/brakes/drums.

’67-72(?) Mustang dual reservoir master cylinder, 1” bore, (accessible via panel in floor)

Posies 28’-34’ Ford Super-Slide reverse eye “low” front spring, part # 1001

Universal shocks.

Rear transverse leaf spring with fabbed mounts to rear axle (not buggy spring)

9” Ford 3.73 ratio rear end (Crown Vic?), drum brakes.
