1951 Mercury 2 Door Sedan

This car is an awesome driver. City or highway it is a blast to drive.

I’ve owned it for 4 years. I bought it from an estate. Their dad passed away and the car sat for 3 years. The first thing I did was go through the whole car and change ALL the fluids to get the car road ready.

Rebuilt the brake master cylinder and the rear brake wheel cylinders and put new brake shoes on the rear, bleed all the brake fluid replaced with new. Front discs were fine. Sent the brake booster out and had it rebuilt. Pulled the rear 9” ford pumpkin out changed the oil and installed new axle seals. Changed all the fuel lines and cleaned the gas tank, rebuilt the Holly carb. Pulled the radiator and had it boiled out and had both upper and lower tanks resoldered. Changed all the rubber vacuum lines. Drained the power steer, added new fluid. Did a full tune up on the 355 ci Small Block Chevy. Added a new yellow top Optima battery. Change the tranny fluid in the 4 speed over drive auto transmission.

Next I had a new interior installed. Beautiful white vinyl. Four new speakers for the stereo and 5 disc C/D changer that is under the front seat. Two key fobs for the electric windows and doors.

Then off to the body shop to have some paint correction done so they could apply a ceramic coating. Four brand new white wall tires from “Diamond Back Classic Radials”. Spare is in the trunk.

The grill is 54 Chevy, with Pontic Over Rider. Buick stainless side trim, Packard Tail Light, Custom built Continental kit for the rear bumper. Dual french antennas on right rear fender. If you like exhaust “flame throwers” this car has them. And there is purple neon ground effect lights on all four corners.
