1951 Mercury sport Sedan with Suicide Doors.
A perfect, drive anywhere family hot rod. It’s a period build by bandleader and entertainer, Brian Newman & veteran hot rod builder Russ Monte at his NJ Kustoms shop with some modern upgrades. What started as an all original 6 Volt flathead V8 was hopped up like someone who bought it in the 60’s.
The car was extremely original when I purchased the car from a staunch hot rod guy in Long Island New York. The original flathead ran great with the 6 volt power and the oil bath air cleaner. Just needed a bit of an upgrades in the motor department.
It has manual brakes, manual steering and the 3 speed shifter has been moved from the column to the floor.

Stewart Warner interior Gauges – 2 water temp gauges, 1 oil pressure gauge, 1 Amp gauge mounted on heavy duty polished aluminum panel.
Modern Stewart Warner Tachometer mounted on column.
Moon Equipped Engine Gauges
2 water temp on each head and one fuel pressure gauge mounted on the firewall.
Stock 3 Speed manual trans (moved from column to the floor)
New headliner and zebra print door panels. Red and black tweed Seats

All lights and turn signals work
Stock Heater is working and still in the car. Currently not hooked up for lack of heater hose connections
Needs installation of Heater Blower Motor reducer which comes with the car.
I have all original heads, intake, distributor parts to go with the car.
Drivers window is cracked (have replacement glass)
Stock Fuel gauge works when it wants to. (90% of the time it’s accurate)
