The perfect Patina Truck.  This 1956 Chevy truck started life as an original V-8 truck built in Oakland and then became an early Hot Rod / Custom in the late 70’s ~ Early 80’s.  I obtained the truck from a dear friend in 2011 and then did a complete frame-off rebuild.

The build series was documented on the HAMB and was listed as the “New Shop Truck”   https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/new-shop-truck.460642/

Since the initial build I have installed a fresh 350 built by Blairs Speed Shop, a Tremec TKO-500 5-Spd, and then swapped over the the American Racing TKO 5-Spokes.  The interior was done by Robby Atomic in Nevada, the traditional tonneau cover was done by Sid Chavers, and the last item I had done to the vehicle was an entire polish and detail of the vintage faded paint.  This is not fake or recreated Patina!  This is the original paint from when it was first painted Red, originally dark green, and it definitely has signs of wear and tear.  You can jump in this and head downtown or you can hit the road and click it into 5th gear.  The nasty little small block has roughly 375-400HP and it sounds amazing thru a set of Venom 250 Mufflers.  The engineering to make the front-end work is killer and it drives like a dream for having a dropped axle and parallel leafs up front.  The rear-end is from a 57 passenger car and has 3:55 gears if I remember correctly.
