1959 Chevy Impala, 2 Door Hardtop

This is a very nice 59 Impala that has never seen rust, never had patch panels, and retains its original sheet metal, weather stripping, chrome and trim.

The panel fit is very nice, the doors, hood, and trunk close with a gentle touch.  It has most of its original Snowcrest White paint on the body along with the door and trunk jambs.  Inside the trunk shows the original paint and trunk mat.  The interior is mostly original too.

The car came from the factory with a 6 cylinder and 3 speed on the column, but that was replaced in 2016 with a GM crate motor and AT.  The drive train has been updated with the following:

  • Chevrolet 350 crate engine
  • Serpentine Belt Set Up
  • 700R4 Automatic
  • Edelbrock Intake and Carb
  • Power Steering w/605 box
  • Power Disc Brakes
  • Vintage Air/Heat/Defrost
  • Ididit Tilt Steering Column
  • Aluminum Radiator
  • Drive Shaft & Carrier Bearing for the new transmission
  • Plus, a lot more

This car has the original bill of sale from the dealer and paperwork capturing the mechanical updates in 2016.  It is not a high-end restoration, and you’ll find some paint chips and touch up.  The bumper chrome is nice, but you can tell it’s not fresh chrome.  It’s dependable and drives good with all the updates.
