1960 Corvette
– Engine and trans.
NOM Period 283 mated with a 5 Speed Tremec and mileage is unknown.
Just recently drove the car for 20 minutes from Carlisle to Middletown to take pics and video to sell.
The car started its life in the Peoria, Illinois area. I am told that the original owner raced the car on the drag strip. After the next owner was tired of the car, the original owner’s son, Alec Story purchased it and started a semi restoration in the mid 2000’s. He installed the current engine and transmission and changed the blue color scheme to red & white. It would now be considered a 5 foot paint job with a couple chips. Was told that car was born as a fuelie. When the car was raced it had a hood scoop. The hole in the hood was removed.  They utilized a piece of plywood on the inside of the hood to help facilitate fiberglassing the hole, however it was left in place.
I purchased the car  in 2006. Due to time constraints of a traveling position at work, the car has been driven very infrequently or worked on sparingly since then.
A new pressure plate was installed. Also, shocks, kingpins, and brakes were addressed. The white convertible top has not been up much. It has a small 2″ slit on the driver’s side.  A hardtop was purchased and added to the look of the car.
The car is solid but needs a little more TLC. Several items need addressed:
Gauges specifically tach and speedometer.
The horn does not work.
Rubber for doors, etc.
Hardtop not perfect & needs fasteners to tie the back of the top to the body.
The seats are not bolted in place.
Small chip in windshield.
The passenger door needs a regulator for the window. Windshield wipers need attention.
Installation of rubber gas pedal is needed.
The radio is not original.

The seats are really good but the door panels are only a 6 out of a 10.
