There is not much I can say about this truck that the photos don’t tell. It is an original, unmolested 44 year old truck that is as near to new condition as I have ever seen. I have done an oil change, and checked all fluids.
It was purchased new by Pavilion Township, Michigan for their fire department. Original manual, warranty and purchase paperwork included. 2 original sets of keys (one set still sealed in envelope stapled to original paperwork). The pump and tank apparatus that were in the bed were removed as well as the emergency lights.
This was a fire department brush truck, it does have light scratches in the paint. There are two areas of rust, both in the bed: one area at the front panel of the bed and one area in the right rear bed inner fender wheel tub. There is a small bend in the lower edge of the drivers bedside ahead of the wheel opening, please see photos. I can only assume that this happened in the field when in service. There are some plugged holes in the cab roof from fire department lights that were removed. There is an antenna base in the roof.
The interior is in what I would consider excellent condition. The dash pad is amazing for a truck of this age. The seat upholstery has one area on the drivers side where the vinyl is cracked but it is not torn, please see photos.
This truck drives as new. I used it to tow my trailer to a couple swap meets a few weeks ago.
