Late summer of 1965 I helped the owner of this car put a 400 Oldsmobile in it to put on the drag strip. February of 1966 I joined the Navy coming back in winter of 1970. I never saw it on the track, just stories. The owner who was about 12 years older than me put it in storage in 1969. He passed away in 2000 and I was able to purchase it from his widow in 2005. I kept it in storage until 2010 when I decided to restore to what it is today. Debut in 2014 at NHRA East in York, PA. By far the most contribution to style, fabrication and workmanship was Jeff Ludwig at Ludwig,s Custom Auto in Denver, PA. Jeff’s brother, Steve Ludwig, built the Buick 401 nailhead I took out of a 1962 Buick Lasabre. It sits on a TCI frame, 2004R trans, built by Chris Root in Elverson, PA. Lokar shifter, Vintage Air, Classic Instruments, Flowmasters. American Rebel Wheels 15X5 on the front and 16×8 on the rear. Shaved Michelin tires hit the ground. Custom Interior was done by Chris McClintock at Bux Custom in Pottstown, PA using Relicate Leather throughout.
