“Car of the Week”…

Our latest Car of the Week feature comes from Bill Cheek, @jazzbosportfishing. Bill is no stranger to beautiful hotrods and his latest build checks off all the boxes.

It all started a few years back when Bill commissioned Steadfast Hot Rods, @steadfastmfg and Henry Richards to build one of their custom chassis for a new 32 Ford 3 window coupe. Steadfast Hot Rods also located an all-steel Brookville 3 window body which they completed the metalwork and chop on it. After the car became a completed roller and the patented Steadfast stance was put in place, the car made its way home to Pennsylvania and to the Ludwig Customs, @ludwigcustoms shop for the final details including the slick white paint. Jeff Ludwig got the gaps and body work all detailed. He then finished the final assembly on the car.

It was not the first time Ludwig Customs had been called on to do work for Bill. They also helped finish Bill’s slick black 40 Ford sedan a few years earlier.

Not to be overlooked it was then onto the inside of the car. The car would have been incomplete without a terrific interior to finish the inside off. Bill once again turned to Chris McClintock with Bux Customs, @buxcustoms to install a blue leather interior and a contrasting blue roof insert on the outside. The car does not have outside mirrors so a camera was installed, hidden in the rear window, which shows the entire backside of the car on a mirror screen above the windshield.

Hot Rod Jen then striped the outside of the car with some silver leaf details with blue pinstripe around it to really set off the white exterior.

All together it makes for one special hotrod! So special the first event at the 2022 Goodguys Nashville event the car earned a Top 10 Builder’s Choice award along with being recognized as a Top 5 Finalist for Hot Rod of the Year. It has continued to win awards at more events that have followed.

Congrats to all those involved for building such an outstanding hotrod!
