Car of the Week – The Lady Laird Lincoln…
It has been a while since we shared our last Car of the Week feature. What better way to do it again than with a 2020 America’s Most Beautiful Roadster contender and one of our Opposing Cylinders members. Let’s learn more about this build from the owner herself, @batty4ii.
“My name is Brandie Laird, I bought my first Roadster on June 15th, 2014 from a highly respected home builder. I wanted something of my own to drive to car shows. On the longest road trip to Louisville, Ky 685 miles in one long 16hr rainy day drive, I told my husband I wanted another Roadster -something with more room and more comfort. If anyone has ever driven a Model A Roadster long distance, they understand!”
“In 2017 at the National PPG Columbus, Ohio Car Show the American Speed Company Roadster was purchased and we picked it up the in December!! I met Chad Adams-Owner of Adams Hot Rods Rydal, GA at many car shows over the past few years. He had spent time with me going over the details of what I liked in car builds around the different car shows. We discussed colors, interiors, dependability, designs, steering wheels and even the rims. I just knew that I wanted him as my car builder. So prior to the 2019 Grand National Roadster show he finally agreed to build the car. We met at the GNRS 2019 where we had to pick up my ordered V12 Engine from H&H Flatheads and discussed the assembly details. The cars submission photos were sent in and accepted in Sept, 2019 as one of the Contenders for the 2020 AMBR. Sadly The Lady Laird Lincoln didn’t win the 2020 Americas Most Beautiful Roadster award but did win the H & H Best Dressed Flathead Award while at the show.”
