A ’32 has been a dream of mine for a long time. Growing up in the Street Rod world since the age of 5 years old, I have always loved pre-48 cars and trucks. At the current age of 50 I have had the chance to own many different cars & trucks and have shared my love of Street Rods with my father. Through the years the hobby has kept us super close and we have enjoyed many trips together traveling to various rod runs and car events. My dad has a true love for the ’32’s and I hoped that one day I would own one at the same time as him. That wish came true when I picked up this amazing ’32 built by Danny Santoro in California. Being from Virginia, the haul from California to me was going to be a lengthy one but the owner of the ’32 was willing to make the drive personally to ensure the safety of the car! Once the car arrived it was even more amazing than I had thought! He couldn’t unload it quick enough for me! I traded my ’67 Chevy C10 for the car and provided gas money for his troubles and the rest is history!
The car is a Wescott body, Frames and Thangs custom fully-boxed frame, Stroker crate motor mated to a Turbo 350 automatic trans that shifts via a RetroTek Speed electronic shifter mounted on the firewall. All chrome dropped axle with Aldan coil overs in the front with chromed disk brakes and calipers along with a chrome 4-linked, coil overs, and disk mated to Ford rear out back.
The 32 has a full custom stitched interior by Ron Mangus. He designed all of the interior as well as the waterfall console. The trunk follows the same concept as the interior and houses separate panels that can be removed to gain access to additional components. There is leather touching leather throughout the entire interior scheme.
17″ & 20″ Budnik Ice wheels with BF Goodrich GA-Force radials put the power to the pavement. Custom paint completed by the Painthouse in Tomball Texas using custom mixed copper and pearl white for the two-toned effect. The underside of the car mirrors the topside with everything painted, polished, or chromed.
I feel blessed to own the car and look forward to many show seasons parked next to my dad.
