Greg Stokes with GMS  is known in New Zealand to build great hotrods.  The yellow 32 roadster was entirely owner built and hit the road in late 2010. It pays tribute to a New Zealand hot rod legend, the late Pete Dore and draws inspiration from the late Barry Lobeck, late Pete Chapouris and Denis Kyle. It runs a ‘57 Corvette 283 and four speed with a Winters Champ quick change and Buick 45 fin drums on all four wheels. Wheels are usually ET’s and Halibrands or sometimes 16” Ford solids.

The Brookville fendered roadster in more in line with my GMS Hot Rods business as it features the Brookville body and Pete & Jakes chassis components as Greg is a NZ dealer does both companies.  With much advice from Henry at Steadfast Hot Rods and Joe at Kugel Components, I built the frame with the 5” axle pushed forward, rear chassis rails massaged to take 16×10 wheels and a 348 W motor and Tremec is shoehorned in there.
